Norma Darnell

President

Norma holds an MSW in social work and is a Certified Family Wrap Around Coach. Norma's career in social work began as a peer support specialist and evolved into supervisory roles across multiple departments. She was instrumental in developing an award-winning housing recovery model recognized as the best in its category.

Having previously been involved with SAAS, Norma now returns as its president, a role she embraces with deep honor. As a survivor of sexual exploitation, she brings a passionate commitment to ending trafficking and empowering future leaders to join her cause.

 


Bryonne Luhtala

Vice President- 

Bryonne has lived in Tucson for nearly 25 years now! She enjoys serving the Tucson community as a healthcare professional and through volunteerism. She recently became a certified laser technician and hopes to help support those in the SAAS mentorship program by offering tattoo removal. Bryonne is grateful to be a part of SAAS and its mission to provide individualized support to survivors! 

 

 

Victor Bellino

Victor Bellino recently retired from a 36 year corporate career with Procter & Gamble and COTY. He became involved with SAAS after his daughter, Maggie, recruited him! He is energized to help contribute to SAAS, and encouraged to see corporations like Delta Airlines (#GetOnBoard) and social influencers like Ashton Kutcher and Jada Pinkett Smith get involved in the fight against human trafficking.

Jen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and is a professional photographer. With several years of experience in leadership roles, she has trained numerous leaders. When Jen discovered the issue of trafficking and recognized the lack of resources available to support survivors, she felt compelled to get involved with SAAS.

 

 Katie Sloan - Bridal Shop Manager / Mentor 

 

Katie volunteered at Sold No More a non-profit that was educating the community on sex trafficking. She has worked in the bridal industry for several years and has always been an abolitionist. Katie has a natural talent for leadership and mentorship. 

 

Destinee McMillan - Peer Support Lead 

Destinee was our first intern at the bridal shop who has now become an employee. She is excited to provide peer to peer support to future interns . Destinee has learned the bridal industry and manages online sales. Her future goals include helping others and becoming a professional make-up artist.
